William J. Epps MD

Dr. William J. Epps is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist based in Georgia. A former Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, he has dedicated his career to restoring quality of life for those living with chronic pain—work grounded in empathy, precision, and service.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Epps is a passionate advocate for cultural preservation and representation. He is the founder and steward of the Epps Family Collection, a growing legacy collection of art that celebrates Black history, identity, and creativity. His commitment to collecting is rooted in a desire to honor the richness of diasporic narratives and ensure their visibility for future generations.

Dr. Epps’s multifaceted work—at the intersections of healing, advocacy, and culture—aligns powerfully with the mission of the Wright NAO Art Foundation. He brings to the board a deep sense of purpose, a strong connection to the Atlanta community, and a belief in the transformative power of art.
